Information on the processing of personal data of website visitors and clients

What personal data do we process?

In connection with the operation of our website and communication with you, we process the following categories of data:

  1. Identification and contact details: In particular, your first name, last name, email address, telephone number, and, where applicable, the name of the company you represent.
  2. Information from inquiries and communication: Data that you provide to us in contact forms or email communication (the content of your message/inquiry).
  3. Technical data about your visit to the website: IP address, cookies (if enabled), and other technical access parameters (browser type, device).

Why do we process personal data and what entitles us to do so?

We process your data only for specified purposes and in accordance with legal regulations (GDPR).

Handling inquiries and communicating with clients

If you contact us via the web form or by email, we process your contact details and the content of the message.

  • Legal basis: Legitimate interest in handling your inquiry or taking steps prior to entering into a contract (if you are requesting legal services).
  • Storage period: For the time necessary to process the request, but no longer than 1 year in case of follow-up inquiries, unless a contractual relationship is established.

Sending legal news (Newsletter)

If you are our client or have given us your consent, we may send you information about legal news and updates.

  • Legal basis: Legitimate interest (for existing clients) or consent (for other persons).
  • Option to unsubscribe: You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the link in the footer of the email or by sending a request to our contact email.
  • Storage period: We process personal data for this purpose until you unsubscribe.

Who do we share personal data with?

We primarily process your data ourselves. However, to ensure the smooth running of our office and website, we use verified suppliers who may have access to the data in their capacity as processors:

  • IT service, hosting, and web tool providers.
  • Accounting and tax service providers.
  • State authorities (courts, police), if we are required to do so by law.
  1. Furthermore, we use customer relationship management (CRM) tools to better manage our interaction with current and potential customers. For smooth operation of our newsletter we use Mailchimp to manage and send our newsletters. Email addresses and related subscription data are processed by Mailchimp as our data processor for this purpose only. You can unsubscribe at any time. We do not transfer personal data outside the European Union (EEA) unless it is necessary for the technical provision of services. When using tools from companies based in the US, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, in particular the Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

What are your rights?

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights vis-à-vis us:

  1. Right of access: You can ask us for information about what data we process and request a copy of it.
  2. Right to rectification: If the data is inaccurate, we will correct it.
  3. Right to erasure (right to be forgotten): If the reason for processing no longer applies or you withdraw your consent, we will erase the data (unless we are required by law to continue archiving it).
  4. Right to restriction of processing: In cases specified by law.
  5. Right to object: To processing based on legitimate interest (e.g., direct marketing).
  6. Right to data portability.
  7. Right to lodge a complaint: If you feel that we are not handling your data correctly, you can contact the Office for Personal Data Protection (www.uoou.cz).
