Bohdan Zubač is an Associate at Ambit with 13 years of legal practice, focusing on crypto-asset and digital finance regulation, MiCA advisory, and blockchain-based projects. He also advises on intellectual property, IT and communication technologies, e-commerce, data protection, and corporate matters.
Bohdan Zubač's practice centers on the regulation of crypto-assets and digital finance. He advises clients under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) and on AML/CFT requirements, licensing of crypto-asset service providers (CASP), token issuances, and compliance frameworks for blockchain projects. He was part of the legal team behind one of the first CASP licenses granted under MiCA in the Czech Republic.
Alongside crypto-asset regulation, Bohdan advises on intellectual property, IT and communication technologies, e-commerce, data protection, corporate law, and private international law. He holds a Ph.D. from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague, where his doctoral research examined the conflict-of-laws treatment of proprietary aspects of dematerialized securities recorded on DLT — a topic he has continued to publish on, including a 2025 monograph on blockchain and the dematerialization of securities published by Wolters Kluwer.
Outside the office, Bohdan is a former épée fencer turned endurance runner — he has completed eight marathons.
