Tomáš studied law in the Czech Republic and the United States (San Francisco) and brings a unique dual-jurisdictional perspective that resonates with international clients. Over the course of his career, he has successfully advised on more than 300 venture capital and private equity transactions and has established himself as a strategic partner to institutional investors and CEOs of fast-growing companies.
His practice covers the full spectrum of corporate and transactional matters — venture capital financing, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and representation of start-ups. He has developed particular expertise in structuring complex cross-border deals, implementing sophisticated ESOP frameworks, and guiding technology companies through key inflection points in their development. His client base includes leading VC and PE funds, family offices, and innovative startups across the technology ecosystem.
For his contributions to legal innovation and his role in supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem, Tomáš was named Innovative Lawyer of the Year in 2019. Tomáš also lectures at the Faculty of Law of Charles University, where he teaches the course "Startups and VC Investments" and shares his practical insights with a new generation of lawyers.
