Jaroslav Schwarz leads Ambit's finance and insolvency practice, bringing more than 15 years of specialized expertise in debt financing, corporate restructurings, and complex insolvency proceedings. His practice encompasses the full spectrum of finance-related matters, from sophisticated financing structures to high-stakes insolvency and restructuring engagements.

Throughout his career, Jaroslav has played a pivotal role in transactions valued at billions of euros across Central and Eastern Europe. He has advised on numerous landmark insolvency cases, including H-System, ECM, Sazka, Bestsport, Oleo Chemical, Motorpal, and many others, establishing himself as a go-to advisor for creditors, investors, and stakeholders navigating complex financial distress situations. Qualified as both a Czech attorney and an English solicitor, Jaroslav brings a unique dual-qualification perspective that proves invaluable in cross-border financing and restructuring matters.

Before joining Ambit, he served as Chief Legal Officer of a prominent Czech investment group, where he gained deep insights into the commercial and strategic considerations that drive investment decisions. His earlier career included positions at leading international and domestic law firms, further enriching his expertise across multiple jurisdictions and practice areas. Jaroslav's academic credentials include law degrees from Charles University in Prague and the University of London, providing him with a robust foundation in both civil law and common law systems.
