In PitchBook’s 2024 annual table, we retained first place among law firms in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) by the number of VC transactions. PitchBook registered 29 transactions, leaving the firm with a comfortable lead over the rest of the market. This follows our first place in CEE for 2023.
What a retained position means
The annual table summarises the number of completed transactions PitchBook records for a given type and region. Here, it covers VC transactions and legal advisers in CEE. The underlying data comes from PitchBook Platform, public sources and information submitted by firms and verified by PitchBook. The ranking is determined by transaction count, rather than transaction value or subjective assessment.
Twenty-nine registered transactions provide a concrete summary of our activity during the year. The position alone does not convey the full scope of work on each investment or the circumstances of each company. The result reflects the work of founders, investors and legal teams helping to structure and complete financings. We support companies throughout their lifecycle, not only when they raise money: from incorporation and funding rounds through ESOP and day-to-day corporate matters to exits and secondary transactions.
A practice informed by data
The VC market evolves with every investment, and experience from completed transactions informs our work with clients. Alongside legal advice, we share market insights through an anonymised Venture Capital Deals Report. It draws on data from our own transactions, including valuations, terms and investment structures. The aim is to give founders and investors a practical reference as they plan their next steps.
We thank our clients for their trust and our colleagues at Mavericks (Ambit since 2026) for their careful work on every transaction. The retained first place belongs above all to those who entrusted us with their investments and the team that helped bring them to completion.
