Ambit represented Presto Ventures in negotiating its venture capital investment in IP Fabric’s Series A round.
IP Fabric’s growth was hampered by a long sales cycle, which could last up to a year for larger customers. On September 22, 2020, the startup announced EUR 3.5 million in Series A funding, approximately CZK 95 million at the exchange rate at the time. The investment was intended to accelerate development of its software for analyzing and securing enterprise networks and expand global sales.
Software for enterprise network visibility
IP Fabric develops software for analyzing and securing large-scale network infrastructure. It gives businesses a comprehensive view of their networks and interconnections, helping them identify risks and prevent incidents in network management.
At the time the investment was announced, its customers included Airbus, Société Générale and Vienna Insurance Group. Its Czech customers also included Řízení letového provozu.
Investment in development and global sales
According to IP Fabric’s announcement, the round was led by Senovo and Presto Ventures. Credo Ventures, which had backed the company in its previous seed round, also participated alongside individual investors.
The funding was intended to accelerate development and expand global sales. As CzechCrunch reported at the time, the company’s growth was hampered by a long sales cycle, which could last up to a year for larger customers.
According to Lupa, the company planned to split the funds roughly equally between research, development and customer support on one side and sales and marketing on the other.
Further funding in 2023
On June 29, 2023, IP Fabric announced a further Series B funding round of USD 25 million. The round was led by One Peak, with Senovo and Presto Ventures participating again.
