Ambit represented Czech startup Cleany.cz in negotiating an investment in the high single-digit millions of CZK from Jiří Hlavenka.
Cleany.cz allowed customers to order clothing and textile cleaning online, with pickup and delivery included. At the time the investment was announced, the service had been operating in Prague for a year. The new funding was intended to support its expansion into other Czech cities and planned expansion abroad.

Customers selected a pickup time and location when placing an order. A courier collected their clothing or other textiles, took them to a partner cleaner, and returned them after cleaning. Cleany.cz also worked with traditional family-run businesses.
Investment to expand the service
The investment was reported by CzechCrunch on November 19, 2019. Jiří Hlavenka's previous investments included flight search engine Kiwi.com.
The investment was intended to support the service's expansion. The founders planned to enter other Czech cities and use the new funding to expand abroad.
Expansion into other cities and Slovakia
According to a follow-up article by CzechCrunch dated November 24, 2020, Cleany.cz was also operating in Slovakia by then. In the Czech Republic, it offered services in Prague and the surrounding area, Plzeň, Ostrava, Olomouc, and Brno.
At that time, the company worked with thirteen cleaning businesses across the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Alongside households, it served business and institutional customers, including accommodation providers, theaters, and embassies.
Its offering then included clothing as well as household textiles and carpets, which the company transported to specialist cleaners.
