Ambit represented Czech startup Filuta AI in its CZK 56 million pre-seed venture capital financing, a Czech record at the time.
Filuta AI secured its first funding in January 2023, just months after starting operations. The investment was intended to expand the team and accelerate development of technology combining different approaches to artificial intelligence, designed to make it easier for midsize companies to build and operate autonomous systems.
Funding within months of launch
Filuta AI began operating in September 2022 and secured its first funding within a few months. As a contemporaneous report by Lupa.cz documented, this was the largest pre-seed investment in a Czech startup at the time of the announcement.
The Nation 1 fund led the round. Other participants included Czech Founders and SPM Invest, which is associated with Bohemia Interactive co-owners Marek Španěl and Slavomír Pavlíček. The announced support also included Microsoft's startup program and the European Horizon Europe program.
The founders behind the company were Filip Dvořák and Martin Doušek. Dvořák was CEO at the time, with experience at Microsoft, Google and the PARC research center. Doušek served as CTO and had previously spent more than five years at Microsoft, where he contributed to backend development for Teams and Dynamics 365.
Composite AI for business data
The technology is based on composite artificial intelligence, which combines different approaches to AI. Filuta AI was developing an intelligent automation platform intended to make autonomous systems easier to build and operate, with a focus on making these tools accessible to midsize companies.
Customer-provided data was intended to serve as the starting point. The system would analyze that data and create a service that would independently seek solutions to a given business problem over time. At the time of the investment, the company was still in the early stages of putting research into practice.
Funding for the team and technology
The company planned to use the funding to expand its team and accelerate development of the technology itself. Recruitment focused primarily on engineering roles involving artificial intelligence and operations research. Beyond funding, the founders also expected investors to contribute experience that would help the company develop further.
Initial pilot projects were already underway for Liftago and Bohemia Interactive. The team was also building its own product, with plans for further technology development and an expanded range of solutions in 2023.
Follow-on funding in 2025
The company announced another funding milestone in June 2025. According to an announcement by Rockaway Ventures, it raised approximately EUR 3.9 million in a seed round. Rockaway Ventures led the round, with participation from LionBeat Capital, TARPAN Partners and other private investors.
By this stage, the company's primary focus had shifted to automated video game testing using autonomous agents. The new funding was intended to accelerate deployment of the product in the gaming industry and support pilot projects in other sectors.
